Top Local Tips for Lucerne

Expected cold weather in February but beautifully warm with snow on mountains Lucerne is a beautiful city. We visited it some years ago for a day and wanted a longer visit. This was our reason for going on this tour. The city is wonderful and was only spoilt for us by the hotel.

The Swiss Lion and Bourbaki Panorama These attractions are near together within walking distance of the centre of town and both well worth a visit. The Lion is an amazing sculpture from the cliff face. It lies wounded and sad - a memorial to Swiss soldiers. The Bourbaki is an unusual experience suitable for all ages. Interesting from both an hisorical and artistic point of view it depicts a moment in history that most British people will not know about - go to see it - you will be amazed!
