The staff wer superb. Homely welcome, views from our hotel room brilliant. The only fault we could find perhaps there could have been more choice with the evening meal. However freshly cooked food.

I had the misfortune to be taken ill whilst staying at the Du Lac hotel but the manager was supreme when it came to looking after me.
This coming holiday there I hope to take advantage of all the excellent facilities provided.

best chocolate I ever tasted! As you peruse the shops, bakeries, etc., look for a chocolate log about 9 inches long. They come covered in either milk or dark chocolate. Inside is the best chocolate I have ever tasted! Try it!

Avoid the film festival if you are after a quiet stay The Locarno Film Festival takes place every year in August. If you are after a quiet stay, avoid this period at all cost. If you like good quality cinema, go and visit the festival. Going to Locarno during the low season allows to take advantage of the natural surroundings quietly.
