Top Local Tips for Interlaken
A Lavish Experience Victoria Jungfrau Hotel is a lavish hotel. It does deserve to be categorised under the “Leading Hotels of the World”. The Staff are very polite, efficient and the rooms are very spacious and clean. Some of the rooms have wonderful views of the town, especially in the morning you can see the clouds surrounding the mountain ranges. That’s beautiful. The breakfast buffet is fabulous and very tempting with prompt service and variety of delicacies you can choose from right from a selection of fresh fruits to the selection of Swiss cheese, breads and variety of hot breakfast. The Health Club and Spa are worth a visit with spectacular views of the Alps from the Indoor Swimming Pool. One can choose from a wide selection of massages and aromatherapy that is worth the cost and visit. Try the head message, It is very relaxing and in the quiet and serenity of the Spa. Location wise, the Hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk from both Interlaken East and Interlaken West Train Stations. The Concierge Service at the Hotel is very Informative and Knowledgeable providing all information you need of the places you would want to visit, how to go there etc. I would truly recommend this hotel and would prefer staying there if I am in Interlaken again.
Beautiful Hiking Trails Take the 6 mile trail towards Lake Thun, have lunch at the Neuhaus Restaurant (3 miles from Interlaken) and walk back. The Concierge at the hotel can give directions. Makes for the perfect leisurely day out.
Arriving at Interlaken Whether you arrive at Interlaken Ost or West station, the Victoria Jungfrau is whithin easy walking distance of both, right in the centre of the town. Also, use the FlyRail baggage service where your luggage is checked in at a UK airport then you don't see it until it is delivered safe and sound to your hotel room! This was particularly valuable on our return - we were able to spend a whole day discovering Zurich with just our hand luggage with us.
