Top Local Tips for Interlaken

A quick and beautiful trip up to the mountains above Interlaken We unfortunately only had one day to explore Interlaken before heading off to Paris (!). We knew we wanted to explore the area, so we took the tram up to Murren (1hr) walked down to Grindenwald, and took the cablecar down to the valley floor and then back to the train (a round trip without the back-and-forth). It cost only about $60 USD each, though you should just buy your tickets at each stop, to avoid paying for a leg you decide to walk. Even though the weather was rainy, we got some awesome views and the Swiss Alps and had a really excellent time.

Other things to do around interlaken Spend some time strolling through Murren, Latuerbrunen, Grindelwald for some beatiful scenery

Coop Right across the street from the Splendid is a small convenience store called COOP. You can get everything you need there. Really , its small but they pack in all the essentials like beer and chocolate.
