A very nice find. We were extremely happy with the Hotel's location, service and ambiance. The staff was extremely cooperative and helpful. We upgraded the room to be on the river and it was worthwhile. The view was very nice. We look forward to returning to the area and will definitely stay at the hotel again.

Top Local Tips for Interlaken

Mountain Access When visiting this part of Switzerland, you'll want to go to one of the mountains. Most hotels and of course the tourist office have live web cams showing the current conditions. Be sure to check these out before paying out the expensive fares to head to the top. It would be a shame to get up to the top and not be able to see anything.

Railway network The rail network is superb and you will use it most days. I would suggest getting your tickets from the reception of the hotel to save you time

Interlaken train station Keep in mind that on a sunny weekend, the Interlaken train station is packed with locals going up into the mountains for hiking, paragliding, rock climbing, etc. If you can, try to schedule your trips up into the mountains for the weekdays; the trains will be a lot emptier.
