I've stayed at the Novotel Airport Hotel in Zurich, Switzerland. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN MY LIFE. 1. As I was checking in, I asked for a non-smoking room, and was told that they have only smoking left, but, if I am not happy with my room, they will change it. 2. When I came up to my room, it became clear to me that I cannot stay in this room for security reasons - it was on the ground level, and there were huge bushes right in front of my window! 3. When I came down to request the change of rooms, the receptionist told me that, despite her earlier promise, she WILL NOT change my room, and that all my security concerns are just stupid fears. 4. The manager of the hotel that was working that night refused to talk to me, and was extremely rude and impolite. She was using obsene language, and would refuse to change my room. 5. The personnel also refused to recommend me another hotel that I could go to - Novotel was too much of a bad experience for me already. 6. I ended up staying at the Novotel, which turned out to be a big mistake: AS I TURNED OFF THE LIGHT, MY BED BECAME ALIVE WITH THOUSANDS OF ROACHES CRAWLING FROM ALL OVER THE ROOM! NEEDLESS TO SAY THAT i COULDN'T SLEEP ALL NIGHT - IT WAS SO DISGUSTING AND GROSS!!!!! 7. Other nasty things about the hotel: LINENS ARE SOILED; WAITRESSES ARE RUDE AND DON'T CLEAN UP THE TABLE ON REQUEST; THE CORRIDORS ARE FILTHY; SAUNA WASN'T WORKING AS PROMISSED; GYM AREA IS REALLY SMALL AND MOST OF THE EQUIPMENT IS BROKEN. I wrote a letter to the management, but never received any response. The only thing I can do now is to warn other travellers about the "surprises" at the hotel.
