My fatehr and mother were travelling to Canada and they had a stop in Geneve. My parents are old, soft spoke. They arrived on the 8 th July at 10:00p.m and while he pulled out his passport and was filling out the form someone just walked away with the small hand bag, in it was money and passport for my mother. The staff behaved so badly with hima dn did not help him in their distress. I have to fly down to Geneva from Canada to get them as they lost all their money and they don"t have a passort to travel.

Police complaint has been lodged to that effect. However the hotel staff that night and the following day even when I spoke were so rude. How can this hotel be in business when they don't know their purpose of business which is the maximum comfort of the guest. My God this hotel should be shut down. Or the people involved fired from their job.

I feel humiliated and disgraced at the treatment and service I received.

I am in mind to consult these matter with my lawyerto see what can be done about it. I am in opinion that this is the work of the staff. How can anyone go to this hotel.

I have stayed at the Cornavin a number of times over the past few years and, each time, was increasingly disappointed. The staff is rude and unhelpful. There are no amenities (the Room Service was the WORST food I ever tasted -- in fact, it wasn't edible). As a result, during my last trip to Geneva, I chose to stay elsewhere.

Top Local Tips for Geneva

Something Different Pick up the 36 minibus on a circular route around the old town and stop off at each stop to experience something different - the Russian Orthodox Church is spectacular, have a cafe au lait in Place du Bourg le Four, have a walk along the Promenade des Bastions and watch the giant chess pieces outside at the cafe in the Parc (along with a small coffee to keep you going), finishing up with a look around the shops on the Rue de la Corraterie.

Don't miss CERN, soon closing! Get over to CERN before they close down the tunnels and start shooting particles instead of taking visitors through. geneva isn't my first stop next time geneva is actually pretty boring, we stayed their for a month for business and pleasure and we did all the touristy stuff in an afternoon. if i go back to switzerland i will not go back to geneva.
