Wonderful holiday

We stayed at this hotel,after looking through the brochure and always coming back to the hotel Terrasse, decided to book for a week in July. We were not disappointed. Our room, at the front of the hotel,was spotless with very comfortale beds. The menu each day was varied and always beautifully presented by very pleasant staff. The travel system was simple to use, buses,trains and boats all on time. We are now waiting for the 2008 brochure to arrive so we can book again for next year, and would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other travellers.

You couldn't ask for a more friendly and welcoming hotel. Service with a (genuine) smile and excellant food. Nothing was too much bother for the staff. Idyllic peacful location by the lake only a short (free) bus ride from Interlaken and all it's rail links. Wonderful country and scenery. What more could you ask for.

The hotel is perfectly located and excellently run. They have fluent Italian, Swiss-German, French and (v.good) English speaking staff who take care of their guests with a genuine smile.

Top Local Tips for Bonigen
Swiss Rail Make full use of the Swiss Rail system, especially in conjunction with the Swiss Card and other passes. Efficient, Punctual, Clean, Reliable, Fully integrated with Bus system
To and from resort On your outward and return journey, if you are travelling with suitcases, then upgrade tickets to first class. It cost us about £10 each way to do this, it's free for children. This means more leg room, more room to store suitcases on the train and a better journey all round. If you get the chance go on one of the Swiss Panoramic trains, larger windows and glass roofs so you see even more stunning countryside.
Swiss Pass Purchasing a swiss pass will give you half price travelling on trains and boats - very good value for money.
