Top Local Tips for Arosa

Don't stay here, but if you do go half-board If you decide this is the hotel for you, then it's best to opt for the half-board meals. The reason being is that the hotel is not very central, so it's a LONG, COLD walk up and down the mountain to the village centre where the majority of resturants are located. Local transport, i.e. taxis, is minimal. Also, regardless of where you stay, recommend hiring or buying a small sleigh. You will see literally dozens of these, and it soon became apparent why. The best way to haul goods and gear! Arosa is a long, narrow village and unless you are staying central or right next to the slopes, there is a lot of walking required to get to point A and B. Carrying heavy loads up those slopes is hard work, especially after a full day of skiing.
