The flight was a little late, this was nearly very unfortunate as the last bus in to the town from Vasteras airport is 2215.
With only having hand luggage and therefore no wait for baggage re-claim I made it to the bus in time. Only half an hour after the plane touching down I was at the hotel reception. Unfortunately I was the only one at the hotel reception, the receptionist having gone home at 8pm. There were two phone numbers to ring but no one was answering either. Thankfully I had been given the code to enter the main door when I booked, I wouldn't have survived sleeping on a park bench in the cold weather! I couldn't get a room key of course, there was a list behind the desk that didn't have my name on it, presumably someone didn't do their job properley when I booked.
In the end I resorted to locking myself in the disabled toilet and sleeping on the floor. At least the disabled toilet facilities are spacious, and you don't get much more en-suite than that! There was still no one around in the morning when I woke up so thankfully I was never charged for my accommodation.
