| Horrible staff |
| I had high expectations for this place. Me and my wife were celebrating, but we left the hotel and cancelled our visit. This was after a dispute over me taking a photo inside the cadier bar. The issue could have been easily resolved if the personnel had informed me that cameras aren't allowed. I apologized and deleted the photo from my camera, but the waitor kept going on complaining about it and more or less tried to teach us how to behave in fine restaurants like this. Needless to say we just left. I live in Stockholm and know plenty of bars with good service, so I'm not likely to return. The manager was very understanding when I phoned in my complaint later on. This might have been a case of bad luck with a young snob feeling important for getting a job as bartender at Grand, but I don't feel like being patient with any place that don't screen out that kind of nonsense before I have to deal with it. On a sidenote, Swedish law permits photographing anything and anyone unless the opposite is stated. I'm used to this, so I usually don't ask beforehand, at least not in semi-casual places like hotel bars.
My recommendations: Reisen, Kung Carl, Diplomat. |
