no not long 2 or max 3 full days at Valencia is enough, better to combine same with madrid or Barcelona
Getting to the beach For the quickest and easiest way to get to a nice part of the beach from the city centre (Xativa), take the metro as far as Benimaclet, at this point you will need to change onto the tram to La Cadena. Continue straight down from here on foot, past the hospital until you get to the lovely beach. Approx 5mins walk. Top tip: we found at many of the tram stations that the ticket machines were faulty, therefore its a good idea to buy your return ticket at Benimaclet on the way to the beach (€1.30).
