Went for a short break in April. Thankfully we were only staying for three nights. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The food was awful, drink served in plastic tumblers, balcony so small could only accomodate two plastic chairs, pool area full of drunken lager louts and their unruly, undisciplined children. Nighttime, however, was something else. The bar area which is extremely poorly furnished and lit by fluorescent strip lighting just turned into a drunken rabble. Entertainment was a joke, karaoke everynight. You could not even go to your room to escape the racket as you could still hear everything in the room and we were on the third floor. Thankfully, everything stopped at midnight, but that was when the real noise started, couples arguing, bedlam in the corridors til the early hours it was just awful. On a positive note, the town itself is lovely and I intend to visit it again taking our grandson, but definately not to this dreadful hotel.

Excellent All Round

How can people knock this hotel, we spent a week there in April this year and we really enjoyed it, we are hoping to go back next year. If people expect 5 star service why do they go to a 3 star hotel. You get what you pay for , and beleive me we did get what we paid for, excellent service good food, yes some food was the same some days but there was also always something different, we found plenty to eat for all of us and there was 6 of us that went. The staff could not do enough for us, bar staff were brilliant. If you expect 5 star treatment then do not go to The Tossa Beach Hotel, if you want a cheap, enjoyable holiday where you get what you pay for the do go to the Tossa Beach Hotel, maybe we will see you there next year.

Long live Tossa!!

Myself and a friend booked up to go to Tossa beach for a week before we went back to uni, and we had an amazing time!! After reading some of the reviews, i wasn't sure what to expect, but there really wasn't anything to complain about!! If you travell with easyjet, just be warned that they are very strict on their luggage allowance and will charge you even if you are 1kg over!! It happened to us! - £80 worth!! We made the most of the free drinks all day, every day, and was pleased with the variety of food, although it would have been helpful if there were staff around to tell you what was what, rather than just having a guess at what it might be. Regardless of this, the food was very nice and always fresh each meal time. Th entertainment team were brilliant, and made us feel welcome all the time. The bar staff didn't seem to mind us consuming a lot of alcohol every night, and were very friendly. Our room was nice and we had fresh towls each day. The town center itself is beautiful and there is a train ride that takes you upto tossa castle, which i would deffinately reccomend, for 3 euros, it's great!! There are quite a few british bars and pubs around in the town, and a nightclub which is in the castle and is amazing! I would highly recomend Tossa beach to anyone wanting to have fun and enjoy themselves, as it really was a brilliant holiday. However, it's the company that your with that contirbutes to the amount of fun and enjoymennt that you experience. Long live Tossa!

Not clean, food was rubbish, smell in dining room was pungent, plastic glasses were disgusting and used for hot and cold drinks, pool area left a lot to be desired and the discussions with other holidaymakers echoed the same findings - some worse.

The staff were very unfriendly, the food was the same most meals not much variety, the desserts were the same every mealtime fruit jelly and ice cream. I have seen paddling pools bigger than the swimming pool, you can only use the sunbeds in the sitting up position otherwise if you lie down flat you cannot get past. The management had no control over the adults or the children with the noise at night until the early hours inside and out the hotel, they were allowed to run riot up and down the stairs and lifts. The town is beautiful well worth the visit but not the hotel, give it a wide berth.

WE SPENT A WEEK THERE AND ITS OK NOTHING FLASH BUT WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FOR THE PRICE. THE TOWN IS VERY NICE AND CLEAN.BEACH IS NICE AND CLEAN TOO.

Don’t book it, pool is the size of a pond in the back garden, food is disgraceful, the smell is enough to put you of, never mind looking at it, had to eat out all the time, the hotel even covered up one of the stars with a black plastic bag, so many people complained, got photo to prove it, don’t waste your money,

Pleasantly Surprised

Well we were really worried about this hotel after reading several reviews on the internet but what we found was pleasantly surprising. OK so the food gets pretty boring after 7 days of it but they do rotate some dishes and by no means was it inedible or cold. The hotel was clean and we had fresh towels every day - something most hotels do not offer. The room was basic but clean and the cleaners even mopped our floor every day! The bar was ample and there were a range of drinks on offer, you were even able to get two drinks at a time which is rare for all inclusive venues. The evening entertainment was pretty rubbish and the pool area pretty small so I wouldn't really recommend this place if you have several children to be entertained but for us it was a lovely base to explore the local area from. Oh and our transfers did turn up but maybe some people don't realise that they collect you from the end of the road and not from straight outside the hotel!

I was apprehensive about staying at the Tossa Beach Hotel as I had read all the reviews before we went. We arrive at ten to midnight and we were pleasantly surprised to see our lovely room with a balcony over looking the Pool. We slept well & the next morning we went down to the restaurant for breakfast. It was not good but edible. We had a lovely day in the beautiful Town & went back to the hotel for dinner. The selection on offer appeared to look great but it tasted awful & it was cold. It was the same the following day so we decided to eat out. The bar looked like a canteen for illegal workers & the only beer on offer was Amstel served in very small plastic beakers. (It tasted like soapy water) but on the plus side the Vodka or Bacardi & coke was ok. The entertainment was ok as well. We sat outside as we both were smokers but at 11pm we were told we had to go inside & they quickly took away all the tables & chairs so all the smokers had to congregate in the doorway. Everything was going ok until the family from hell arrived. They were from Liverpool & they were setting of Bangers all over the Hotel grounds & setting off the hosepipe but were allowed to continue (as a matter of fact the animation staff were very friendly to them) Please check your transfers, I met a lot of people whose transfers back to the airport never arrived & it cost them 55 Euro to go back to the airport. Ours didn't arrive at 3 am & when we spoke to the manager he let us use the phone but his only worry was getting the money for the phone calls. I would go back to Tossa tomorrow but not the Tossa Beach Hotel.

To start the price was very reasonable but that's about as good as it gets. There were times when a visit to the restaurent resulted in a swift U turn and a trip into the very pretty town. If you like lager, chips and burgers then this is the place for you. On the whole the hotel was dirty with spilled drinks and mouldy food not an exception. Didn't venture to the shady pool area so can't offer any views. Staff were ok but had a lot to deal with.
