An excellent hotel with helpful, friendly staff

This hotel is of a very high standard. The food was excellent - buffet style, including hot and cold food - with a good selection for everyone, including vegetarians. The waiters were very curtious and friendly and were always very quick to serve drinks or take away used plates. The bedrooms were spacious and very clean and the bathrooms were 'huge' with marble floors and walls. Most rooms have a sea view with a balcony overlooking the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk to the beach and twenty-five minutes walk along the sea front to the marina at Benalmedina. However, the walk back from the sea front to the hotel is uphill and may be difficult for some people. The town centre is also very near to the hotel. The reception area and bar areas are very modern and clean and there are lifts to all floors. Outside the grounds are well looked after and there are plenty of sunbeds around the pool. We really enjoyed our holiday at the Royal Al Andalus and will certainly return there for another holiday. Some people may be disappointed that there is little entertainment in the evenings, however, we walked down to the sea-front most evenings for a coffee and a drink, and there is plenty going on there, so this didn't bother us at all. The majority of people staying at the hotel were Spanish and German, but the staff were able to speak a little English, so communication was not a problem. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of staying in Torremolinos. We had a fantastic holiday!

A well maintained clean comfortable hotel with a great location for transport along the Costa Del Sol. Staff are very welcoming, reasonably priced bar, only downfall is that the food is only adequate and not much choice, so not everyone will be pleased.

Top Local Tips for Torremolinos

if you are any thing other than spanish do no go, the people are horriable If you find yourself there try to go to the other areas. the buses are great and staff are very helpfull. The area torremilinos is very bad place to go with the family or a couple.I will never go back. And the british people living and working there are also very unhappy and are trying to sell up. The locals are very nasty people

DONT GO STAY AWAY

Nice Breakfasts but eat dinner out Brekkers is very good at Ala Andalus but don't have dinner. There are LOADS of good, cheap, reastaurants within easy walking distance, see picture, and the quality is generally excellent. Avoid the "English" ones as they we cater for the lowest common denominator and are all beer and chips as far as we could see. As you leave the hotel, cross the main road (At the crossing) and continue twards the beach. Thereis a long pedestrian street full of little shops with cheap goods and plentry of restuarants. We mainly visited the "Galicia" (It has a blue and white sign, opposite the Lladro shop, where we had the 3 course dinner for 9 Euro 50 (About £7 or less) The young owner is friendly and runs a tight ship, clean with good food.
