The holiday was cheap and when the room was viewed we knew why! Food not to our taste, and a lot of Spanish on holiday here, so the entertainment was for the Spanish. Staff friendly and very near town centre, but the walk up te hill on the way back was a bit of a killer. OK, if you don't expect much. I would not go stay at the same hotel, but like the area.

Stayed all over costa del sol for th last 30 years stayed in the hotel riego mar for the first time 4 years ago and have returned twice a year since. Already been this year and returning again in June. The food and staff are excellent and have recommended to friends who have also returned excellent location only 5 mins stroll to railway station and bus station and shops. Would highly recommend it, even children and grandchildren love it.

Awful! Staff don't give a toss, nothing works, food dreadful,noisy, pool an anti-sun trap,seems to be set up mainly for rude Catalans to stay in. Left after 2 nights before we lost the will to live! Avoid like the plague!

t go wrong for the price

Upgraded to AI at the hotel, everything included, kids happy great entertainment day and night.
Food excellent and plenty of it! Everything you need on onsite, pool maybe a little small for the size of the hotel, but still adequate, rooms a little cramp for 4. (So get two rooms!) but all rooms have air con, so fine.

Well hotel had a nicely presented reception area.. shame about the rest of it...
One pool in a hotel that has a max capacity of 800 can't be a good start as you are all squashed up around the one place. You have to get up very early to get a decent slot around the pool too.
I felt the food was ok, only if you stayed for 2 days as there was not much variety.
Entertainment was poor as I was bored most off the time. Staff made faces at you like u just farted in their mouths and asked them to swallow when you asked them for something to drink.
For being all inclusive it really didn't include everything, i wanted a large milkshake and they said no :o( had to go up twice! (yes thats 2 farts worth of looks i got all for a strawberry milkshake) There beer is not very nice but I found that it done the trick for the week.
Another major problem was that during our holiday about 40 old spanish wrinkles turned up and the hotel played spanish music constantly for them which was good for about half a song then sounded like it was on repeat.
The only thing that made the hotel worthwhile was the company we kept while we stayed there and Im not sure they will want to go with you.
Anyway hope that my review helped you decide on whether to brave the Griego Mar or not. oh oh oh and you have to pay a fortune for a safety box thingy which was not very all inclusivey either now is it, oh and don't go to the empty bar on the front as thats not free. And lastly if you go to Pepes Bar then you will more than likely have the entire place to yoursel as it was empty for the week we were there.

rooms where nothing like those shown on the web for a family of 4 we had a double bed and 2 single camp beds pushed into one room there was very little room left to walk only room along the bottom off beds,there was one chair and a good bathroom very disappointing. I think the rooms where for 2 peaple not 4.

I booked a 10 day holiday and went to the Griego Mar hotel. On arriving the hotel looked quite good for a 3 star hotel.
The food was quite good and they try to cater for everyone.
Rooms were cleaned everyday and fresh towels were given everyday.
I was a bit dissapointed with there only being one pool as it would of been nice to have a toddlers pool.
Be prepared to get up at 06.30am to start lining your chairs up around the pool so you get your spot for the sun loungers.
For older children this hotel is quite good but for toddlers it is limited.
The entertainment was quite good some nights and a bit so so on other nights. The best night was when they had a magic show which catered for everyone as the kids only get a mini disco which has about three songs.
Staff were friendly and polite.
Be prepared for the noisey guests who like to drink and then make noise.

visited hotel jul 2004 entertainment nil staff were not helpful pool was to small hotel was dirty food was ok but not much variety fully inclusive was limited to one bar which with 400 rooms you can imagine the queue. mini disco for kids two songs.

I'm 16 and I went on holiday to Griego Mar in October 2003, and as a first glimpse, i didn't really think much of it, but after a few hours I felt like it was my home. Me and my friends ejoyed it, the staff were polite and welcoming, the food and the pool were reasonable. It is a great place to meet a lot of friends from other places, and is very enjoyable. As a teenager, me and my friends spent most of the time in the game room, and I participated in a activity from the animation club and one a certifiacte. The entertainment their is pleasing. It was- so far, the BEST holiday I ever went to, and most deffinately wouldn't mind going back there for an upcoming holiday.

an excellent place to stay great entertainment and because i'm 13 i stayed in the games room quite alot me and my family enjoyed it loads we met loads of people you can enter competitions and if you win you are given a certificet a all round great place to stay i'm hopefully going again next year.

This 3 star hotel is good value for money. I have been many times over to torremolinos and I have not found anything cheaper with the same facilities. The staff are quite good too.

arrived at the hotel after midnight to find a bar there was still open(G&T's by the pool at that time!!). room was basic but comfortable and clean. food was plentiful and good choices. the pool and area was cleaned everyday. entertainment was good and there was always something going on for both adults and the kids (although we did feel sorry for the entertainment team as they never semed to rest) we wasn't supposed to be going to this hotel but as our travel agent told us that our original holiday had been overbooked then we had no option if we wanted a holiday but they did us a big favour as we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more and later found out that the other hotel was grotty and had many problems. so if you are planning a trip to this area you wouldn't go wrong booking into Hotel Griego Mar.

Stayed @ griego mar during aug 2003 , excellent position for town centre , 10 mins from airport (taxi) pool area bit small during busy times , food great (A.I) , 15/20 mins stroll thru town to cracking beach , v/good hotel -shall go again this year
Top Local Tips for Torremolinos
Not a clubbing hotspot My friend Jemma and I went to Torremelinos because we'd been looking for a cheap, sunny holiday with good nightlife. The travel agent that we booked the holiday with assured us that Torremolinos is buzzing- It's Not! We found a few really nice bars and the hotel was fairly close to the beach so that was fine, but the real nightlife is in the next town and was about a 30 Euro taxi ride, but it was worth it! Torremolinos itself mainly has little bars and pubs, which are lovely but not if you're planning a full on clubbing holiday, the taxi journeys get expensive!
Transfers Just get a cab, only 10 mins and cheaper than what your travel agent would arrange.
zoo and crocodile park you can walk to crocodile park and is a good half day out and the zoo in fuengirola is a great day out and go on the train,it is very cheap and easy.
