Coral beach is in an ideal location, close to the beach and far enough away from Veronias to avoid all the noise. We went out every night and reception were very friendly, keeping our key safe until we returned usually after 2am.Our room was massive and very clean, we were very pleased with it. Some reviews complain saying it is noisy. I can't really dispute that because we weren't in the hotel for most of the night however we tried to be as quiet as possible. There isn't any bulding work near any more. The pool isn't great and I would say the hotel is most suited to those going to las americas for the nightlife, definately not families.
We had an amazing holiday and would recommend the hotel to anyone

I would not go back to this hotel again. I went with my boyfriend in early July and was disappointed with this hotel for several reasons.
Firstly there is building work going on right opposite the hotel which started at 7.30 every morning and continued to about 5 in the afternoon. Not only was this unsightly but also very loud (a crane and drill were being used constantly) as it was directly opposite our room and a lot of other rooms in the hotel. We were not told of this building work beforehand by our tour operator which was extremely bad.
Aside from this the food was not very pleasant. If you arrived for dinner any later than 7pm they did not appear to put out any extra food.
The pool was also very crowded and did not have a shallow end apart from the toddlers/baby pool (a separate pool about a foot deep).
Another problem was that about 70% of the guests in the hotel were groups of teenagers who repeatedly woke us up at night (not intentionally) by coming back late at night (usually between 2am and 5am) after sampling the resorts nightlife and consuming way to many Spanish spirits.
The rooms were also very 'tired' and quite tatty. E.g. stains and chips on the walls and a shower that continuously changed from hot to cold and that turned off completely every say 4 minutes your were in it!
All in all, not the family or 'couple' friendly hotel that is claims to be. This hotel has definitely seen better days, needs to updates its rooms, improve its food and inform potential guests that nearly all the guests staying at this hotel are groups of noisy, alcohol fueled teenagers.

Top Local Tips for Playa de las Americas

WARNING Do not stay at the Playa Honda - its awful, plug sockets hang off the walls and I got broken in their 2 years ago. At the Coral Beach Aparthotel do not have a room at the back the dustbinmen will wake you at 2.30am and 5am. Great location

Street sales people Don't be conned by street reps that offer you "great deals" to go to their pub, you will be ripped off ! I payed 24 euros for a round of four drinks, was told I'd get four free and was only given two.

Jungle Park We went to jungle park and it was a fantastic day out and if i went to tenerife again i would definatley visit the jungle again. There are loads of animals to see and you can go to a bird show which was a bit scary with them flying over your head but well worth the money. One tip is to get tickets from excrusions or hotel as price is double at main entrance and also with them you get free bus. There are many shops and loads of designer shops near by which i loved.
