I haven't been pleased at all during my stay there. My room on the second floor was very small and the balcony very dirty because of the pidgeons. The cleaning ladies never even cleaned the two chairs on our balcony that where covered with pidgeon poop.
Entertainment was not so good. For adults there was only little variation in daily activities. For children it was okay, although there's too much superjumer and climbing wall on the schedule.
Some shows were good, others were horrible. I did enjoy Peter Pan because kids were involved. I did not like the evening with the carnival type of thing because the games were not so great and it was too expensive, evening entertainment should be for free.
Entertaines were ok, especially kids entertainers did a great job and were very friendly. Chief entertainer could be more friendly and passionate about her job.
There was some good food, but lots of it looked gross. There could've been more variation to it and vegetables should've been kepped fresh instead of what we found.
The paint in the hotel should be finished. Now you have hallways in 2 colours, which looks awfull. It should be covered.

We were very pleasantly surprised when we got to the hotel, after reading some of the negative reviews about it, I honestly don't know what some people expect of a 3 star hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself is spotlessly clean and relaxing. The restaurant is large and sunny and the food is very good with a plentiful selection to satisfy all tastes, if you can't find anything you like then you are not looking hard enough, we will definitely be back and will recommend this hotel to our friends.

Me and my friend stayed here as we wanted to stay somewhere quiet and have the option to go to Las Americas. The hotel was really nice, the room was a good size, plenty of room for us both the get ready without getting in each others way. The room was made everyday and the towels changed. We had a pool view which was great. Now the food... it was amazing, they had different food themes on every night. You have to buy your drinks but they wernt expensive. The staff were helpful. Shops and beech near by. Plenty of cheap cafes near the beech. I read someones review about you dont get a remote control for the tv!! who goes away to watch the tv anyway! Ps the room has a built in radio on the wall which amused us as it played English and Spanish!

My husband and I went on a short five nite break for our silver wedding anniversary and stayed at Princess Dacil, but much to my disappointment. We wont be back. The room on the second floor was very small and although it was not high season there was no air conditioning and no fridge unless you want to hire one, and no remote control for TV unless you want to hire. Arriving on wed late afternoon, it was Friday morning we received our next set of clean towels and on the five nites we were there no beds changed. The food was very bland and very little choices, after standing in a queue for a fried egg one morning, I never went back for breakfast again. The pool area was OK but although the hotel looks as though there has been work done on it, to me it needs allot more doing to it. The location was very good as it was close to all amenities and good for the Sunday market. I'm sorry to say as for the bar at nite, it was very dark and dingy. Certainly won't return here.

We booked for a week in September, having seen the Dacil for a number of years we stayed in Los Cristianos. We used to travel privately and rent an apartment in the Los Angeles and this is like chalk and cheese by comparison.

Our room was on the 5th floor and was a family room. For the extra space, it's worth paying the extra and we felt well looked after with cleaning and reception staff. There is still some refurb work going on, so still some room for improvement. The lifts were a giggle, but we weren't too far up to make the stairs a bind if they failed.
I can be a fussy eater, but I was always impressed with the choice on offer. If all else fails, there's always the kids menu!! No problems at all with the restaurant, and I'd read the reviews before we went.

The morning sunbed dash was a necessary pain, but very amusing with a hangover and the pool area was OK. Flies were a nuisance, but that worked all over the island when we were there. Only saw one 'roach and it was hair gelled to death before disposal.
Entertainment was brilliant. Staff very enthusiastic, even in the face of some stroppy kids, and they worked very hard for their money. For a team with a variety of Nationalities, their English was superb and puts us Brits to shame. We only had a week in resort, so have booked again for a couple of weeks in 2007 and might even take up the advice of earlier respondents and get reception to hire us a car.

First time at the Dacil looked forward to sitting at the pool what a hope you had to q at 7.30am to get a bed at pool or forget about it and if you decided to watch the entertainment in the evening, you also had to be there for 7p.m. because all the seats were reserved. If you liked keep fit or carrying a buggy, this is the place to go the lifts where constantly out or order, you had to walk up and down the stairs most of the time when you complained to the management it was always going to get fixed the hotel is badly needing refurbished. The staff were o.k. The food you got fed up with it after a few days. The resort it self is being dug up in all the street that lead to the beach.

First time in the Princesa Dacil, been to Tenerife loads of times and this was the first time Halfboard.Found the resturant ok, Big and airy but they tended to run out of things at Breakfast and it took them ages to replenish the stock, evening meals were ok but far too many fish dishes, the bar prices were ok but why do they give you unlimited tea ,coffee, juice and water at breakfast but charge 1.50 euros for water with your evening meal and they do not serve Tea or Coffee after a few days i was beginning to feel a little ripped off.
The room was very good ,very spacious with lots of storage space, can't fault the maids ,bed linen and towels but the tv was a waste of time unless you wanted to watch Sky news all the time and what a lot of piffle that is, our room was at the front over looking Los Cristianos and i agree with other reviewers it could be a bit noisy with coaches, the bin men and deliveries but take ear plugs and you won't hear them.
The best thing was the Location very good for access to the beaches and the town with it's bars and resturants and it's very close to the Sunday market if you like that sort of thing.
I did not like the pool, the ususal, no sunbeds, i sat for 1 hour one day and watched, approx. 30% of the beds had towels on them with no one in site why do people do that?
The pool needs refurbed, there has been an attempt to paint it but it's not a good job it looks a bit shoddy.
I would like to go back to the Dacil and probably will even if it is just to see if they still have so many fish dishes on the menu and they can replenish the breakfast food that has run out any quicker
