We will be returning to the Santa maria this summer for the sixth or seventh time. Having stayed in several Sitges hotels we have come to the conclusion that it offers the best value and views. Sitting on the balcony at any time of the day offers beautiful sea vistas and amusing insight into the variety of Sitges life as it passes by the hotel along the lovely promenade.
Many of the rooms are large, light and airy and the breakfasts varied and very adequate considering the cost of the rooms. A very friendly waitress serves good coffee in the morning. You must book far in advance to get a sea view with balcony in August.
I stayed at La Santa Maria in Oct of 2004. I had a "double balcony seafront for use as a single" and paid 85 Euro a night, breakfast included. It was lovely. A beautiful view of the mediterranean out my little balcony. The room was small - barely room to walk around the edges of the double bed - but not bad by European standards. A good-sized bath with tub and shower. Great continental buffet breakfast to start off each day. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to kick back in Sitges.
