Top Local Tips for Sevilla
The eating time trap! Good restuarants for veggie's In Seville (Like much of Spain) food isn;t available all day long and the time I like to eat a main meal (around 5-6pm) most places have stopped serving nice food. SO plan to eat 1. before 3.30/4pm and/or after 8pm when everything opens again. I forgot all about this a got caught out a couple of times starving with nowhere to eat. Another tip is for veggie travellers the Vegetarium (Santa Angela de la Cruz) has great food but is open on 12.20-4pm and closed Sundays, a second good restaurant for veggies (that also has meat options and distguishes between veggie and vegan meals) is the HABANITA (Near Alfalfa) which is open in the day 11.00-4.00 and in the evening 8.00-midnight.
Buses Public transport is good. You pay EUR 4.50 for 10 bus trips
Eat in the Macarena district Whils there are a lot of reasonable eating places in the centre of Seville, they are a bit touristy. However between the Tryp Macarena and the centre of the city, there are lots of bars and cafes that serve tapas at reasonable prices and the atmosphere is always friendly - for some reason (maybe because the squid we ordered was off), we were given free beers.
