Good transport links to city centre nearby parks and the river. 5 star luxury at hostal prices. Unable to find fault: superb food, fantastic facilities, and spotlessly clean. I will be back!

Lovely lovely lovely

from CLKLondon
We are a couple of Brits who really enjoyed our stay here. We got a 4 day, 3 night deal for 156 pounds from Expedia and personally I think it was a bargain. Its a little out of the centre of Seville but the cabs are not expensive or there is a bus for one euro.

Had a mix of holiday - did sightseeing in the morning, had a snack and a drink and then went back to the hotel and sat by the pool at Siesta time :) Then in the evening, after a shower and change of clothes we would head into town again for a few drinks and then, when it was late enough (they tend to eat later in Spain), about 9pm, we could delight in the wonderful Spanish food.....NB Do bring a translation book with you if you don't know the 'lingo'...tapas is not easy to order without one.

All in all a lovely trip and a great price :)

Impersonal and in the suburbs

from A TripAdvisor Member
Stayed for 3 nights in June 2005.
Found the hotel to be impersonal- it caters for businesses/conferences.
In the suburbs so it's a taxi into town or you can get the bus which has a fantastic service- we didn't wait more than 10 minutes at any time during our stay.
Nice pool area though the pool itself given the size of the hotel is not particularly big and can get crowded.
Breakfast was good.
Don't pay too much for this hotel. I got a double room with breakfast for £45 per night so it was in terms of value for money very reasonable though I would not stay there again and nor would I recommend it.
Also stayed 3 nights at the Alcora hotel which I would recommend.

We spent 3 nights at the al andalus hotel and would be happy to recommend it. We got a great deal so didn't mind paying the 5 euro taxi fare into the centre. The room was spacious and comfortable. The buffet breakfast was excellent with a great choice. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has a great pool area and with the high temperatures in Seville it was great to go for a dip late afternoon before heading back into the city for some early evening sight seeing and dinner.

a good deal, even if far from the city center

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Silken Al Andalus Palace Hotel for one night on a short trip to Seville this past weekend. We live in southern Spain, so we were lucky enough to have our own car, as well as our bikes. We biked into and around Seville which was great! There are bike paths almost the entire stretch of road from the hotel into the city center. The hotel is, as other reviewers say, impersonal and very large. But it has a nice atmosphere. We got our room for 54 euros per night, and so we couldn't complain when our room looked into an indoor courtyard. Sort of weird, but we didn't mind. We ate more than we would have liked at the hotel (after the restaurants we wanted to eat at in Seville were either closed or booked for dinner). For breakfast or a light meal, it was great, but we were disappointed by dinner at the hotel's Italian restaurant (and we weren't expecting it to be great). If you're in Seville on a Saturday night, and want to go to one of the nicer restaurants for dinner, call ahead for reservations. The taxis generally cost about 5 euros into the city. If that bothers you, and you'd rather spend all your time in the city center, then this isn't the hotel for you. But it's definitely a good hotel for the price.

Huge business hotel

from KGrayUK
I stayed with a group of friends here, and it was all booked by my Spanish friend. Rate was 100 euro for a room with breakfast.

We had a triple and a double. The triple was very weird with no door to the bathroom an only a glass door to the toilet (not ideal for 3 friends). The double was the same but faced a noisey road.

Upon asking for a quieter room, we were moved to the third floor which was MUCH nicer than the first. The hotel is definitely worth the money if you get one of the nicer rooms. Ask for it when you check in.

The location requires a taxi into the centre which was not alway easy to find.

Lovely hotel

This hotel is huge, lots of areas to sit and people watch, nice gardens, pool, various bars etc. The decor is impressive - light spacious areas, lots of marble and fountains. The accommodation was excellent. It has an underground car park and you get the 34 bus into Seville (turn left out of the hotel and go right at the bottom of the road for the bus stop). You are in the centre of this lovely city in 10 minutes (1 euro per trip). Buses run frequently. We paid 115 euros for two nights bed and breakfast for two people!

good hotel

from Mike_don
This hotel is good, we got a good price b+b, and the breakfast was really good. Its a little way out of the town but the bus stop is round the corner and you can get a ticket for 10 rides for €5. We had problems with the bedrooms but the hotel soon sorted them out. We would not hesitate to rebook this hotel.

s answer to las vegas

from Ecuatoriana
We stayed at Al-Andalus on January 8, during a trip through southern Spain. We got a good deal (or so we thought) on a hotel website the day before. The hotel is quite a distance from the downtown- you need to take a taxi. The rooms present nicely, but the hotel is huge and very impersonal - you could be in a Las Vegas complex. Our room was an internal one with a window the size of a small box. The heating was turned all the way up, and with no way to adjust the temperature it made the room feel like a sauna. We complained twice to the front desk, both times they promised help, but it never showed. The safe didn't work, the shower head fell off the wall. When I called about these things to the front desk, they promised to send someone, and nothing happened. It was also full of student seminars so the staff couldn't care less about other guests. When I checked out I mentioned the problems and the woman shrugged and said, "well this is a 4 star hotel and we think its good". Visiting Seville is a special experience. Make sure you find a special hotel for your time there and avoid this one.

Unusual Hotel!

from cubslex
Beautiful, different hotel a little way from the city center, near the soccer stadium but right on the bus route. Nice rooms well deocorated, public rooms unusual and alot of glass. The only drawback was it rained one day and towels were everywhere to catch the water from the leaking glass roof. As a travel agent I would reccomend this hotel.
