Rooms/accommodation, first class - cannot be faulted. Clever and environmentally friendly idea of activating electric power in rooms with room key card to save hours of wasted power in unoccupied rooms. The cleaning staff were courteous and unobtrusive and thorough in their work. The restaurant food was good, particularly breakfast, although some of the dishes were abit too 'oily' for my taste.Vegetables tended to be fried and slightly 'over-cooked'. (Some expansion of the girth during my stay!) The chilled house red was surprisingly good. I enjoyed using the pool during the very hot week I was there and the hotel staff were both friendly and very cooperative, to the extent of keeping the bar open for us late into the evening after we returned from a long day out. Our school party felt welcomed and comfortable. My only slight complaint was that the bar was woefully under-stocked with jarra (half litre) glasses to cater for the English beer drinking folk in the party who are not used to small glasses. A need to stock a good Spanish beeer rather than the mediocre Heineken. Location good for old town (15 mins walk to cathedral), although I would recommend a room overlooking the pool for less noise from the busy road. Price - very agreeable for location and services.
