If you want a quiet chilled out holiday then I would recommend this hotel. All the staff were fantastic and could not do enough to help. The rooms are quite basic, however, they do contain everything you need and are regularly cleaned by excellent staff. The food was fine, if a little repetetive. The fact that you could use the other restaurants nearby was a huge plus as we found the food in the sister Cartago Hotel suited our children more. The resort is very quiet and if you need lots to do (walks, shops etc) then this is not the place for you. However, if you like to lie by a pleasant pool and chill then it is ideal.We managed to get sunbeds but had to go down early (8.30) for 5 - the only downside to the holiday. The views are stunning and reflect the peaceful nature of the resort. The hotel was also very quiet and everything settles down by 11.30 - again ideal for us but not if you like to party the night away. The entertainment team were very good and whilst not being 'in your face' provided lots of competitions etc if thats what you enjoy doing. I would fully recommend this hotel and have come back after a great holiday fully refreshed!

Top Local Tips for Sant Miquel de Balansat

buses read the timetables and plan your holiday around them. Not all buses run on all days, but those supposed to do run. It will save you a fortune on hire cars and taxis

TRANSFERS I would recommend booking your transfer with Shuttle Direct. Cheaper than a taxi, turned up exactly on time. Excellent Service.

Thomson excursions We booked two excursions with thomson. One to Ibiza town and the other to San Antonio. Thomson let us down twice. The first excursion left early without us. The second excursion left us stranded in San Antonio until 2am with a drunk coach driver. It was a disgrace, we had no rep with us on the way out to san antonio and it wasn't until the driver turned up late staggering down the road to take us home we realised he had drove us there intoxicated! But you will be pleased to know there is a excursion company in San Miguel called Ibiza Covered, they offer a far better service at a cheaper price. And their reps are always with you so an incident like the drunk driver with thomson would never occur! So go to Ibiza Covered, they are based on the main road in San Miguel near Europcar.
