Getting into Rome There are many trains to the city from different arrival points. Always check to make sure that you are not over-paying for a train. It costs 40 euro for a cab to go to the center of Rome from FCO airport (by law). If you are traveling in two.. it will cost 12 euro each for the train. That is 24. The majority of people will then pay an additional 20 euro (get ripped off) for a ride from Termini to they're Hotel. It makes more sense to take a cab or even a driver. The driver will wait for you outside the exit and is pre-arranged so the price is certain. You don't have to lug your bags around and it is much less stressful. Open Spaces exhibition We were told by Stefano from the apartment rental Domus International that there was a great international exhibition at the Romanian Academy (in front of the British School in Rome next to villa borghese), bringing together important foreign contemporary artists. This is an annual exhibition taking place between May and June (you can read it in the Events brochure, out wonderful agency kindly provided us with one). We went and had so much fun! There were over 50 artists, amazing site specific installations and performances and even culinary art experiments! So check out the schedules of the foreign academies for interesting events of art and music.
