Top Local Tips for Puerto de la Cruz

North-west Tenerife This part of the island is generally much greener than the south, and much less built-up, and therefore more attractive. However, you are over an hour from Tenerife South airport, and if you arrive in the evening you may prefer to go by shuttle bus to your hotel than rent a car and negotiate the motorway and roadworks !

Lagua Park and Loro Park When you travel to Puerto del a Cruz make sure you visit Laguna Park and Loro Park its well worth a visit. Go to Loro Park early as its a whole day experience.

Gardens There are a suprisingly large number of nice gardens to visit in the town if that sort of thing is of interest
