Top Local Tips for Palma de Mallorca

Dining During our stays in Mallorca, we mostly dined at the hotel. However, we did want to dine out a few days. This can be a bit difficult, as you quickly end up at the typical "pizza or pasta" places, which I'm not particularly fond of (but read on). Here's a tip: Take the bus to Placa Reina. If you go south, there's pizza and pasta for you, if that's your liking. However, there's also a restaurant in a tunnel just next to Place Reina. This is a nice place to go if you, like me, would like a decent steak during your visit and is willing to pay a little bit extra for it. If you want tapas, there's restaurants serving that in the streets going west from Place Reina (away from the church La Seu). This is also the place for other restaurants, decently priced and in my mind much more cosy than the typical "pizza and pasta" place, but they can be hard to find. If you want pizza in the open in a nice lively atmosphere, you shouldn't miss out on those at the Placa Mayor.

Attractions Cathedral is worth worth a trip - highly recommend. Also, Soller is worth visiting, for all ages but the children really love the old train journey.
