Just come back from a 2 week break, and I would say that it is probably the best self-catering accommodation in Arenal den Castell. The apartments are cleaned everyday and the towels are changed everyday. The pool is big enough to cope with the number of people, and they have some fairly good entertainment in the evenings. Although you can get half-board, I didn't eat there, so I can't comment. All in all, a very good 3 star accommodation.

Top Local Tips for Es Mercadal

Car hire is best A car is essential if you want to get around easily. Whilst most places are within easy reach by foot, the lay of the land demands a car.

Lazy Days Cruise This boat trip is run by an english guy and his spanish girlfriend. He only has a licence to carry 12 people making the trip quite specialised. You are on the water for 4 hours and in this time you get to relax on deck, he then stops and you can swim and snorkle for a couple of hours. His girlfriend then provides an adequate bbq. There is only soft drinks on board making it ideal for families. The chap is extremly friendly and makes all his passengers veryu welcome, but watch out for tenpers flaring when his girlfriend misses with the rope when docking! All good fun and well worth the money.
