Top Local Tips for Marbella
places to visit I would recommend traveling for other places as there is not much to see in Marbella. Get public transport to Mijas (village in the hills) as it is amazingly scenic there and the view makes it worth it. Getting the buses to Ronda (I believe Ronda was featured in the Kingdom of Heaven); where there is Arabic baths, lots of old building – palaces, churches, caves, gorges and the oldest bullfighting ring in Spain to visit. Both places would be great for a day trip. Book an excursion to Gibraltar as it’s a must thing to do. If you go there you get to see Morocco is the background and you realize how close it is. You can get a cable cart to the top of the mountain, see Dolphins on the boat cruises, and see the Caves and the monkeys. Compared to Spain the cigarettes and booze is cheaper but only 1L of alcohol and 200 cigs person is allowed back into Spain. Niki Beach is the place you go if you want to people watch. It is where all the WAGS and fashionable people will go to during the day. It’s very expensive i.e. the cheapest champagne in some bars was 140E
