The hotel itself was very clean and very new and had a nice layout. We had a ground floor room which smelt like drains, the concierge planted air freshners but the smell remained and nothing else was done. The concierge were rude and unhelpful when we asked them to address the problem. The barstaff and waiters were moody and showed no signs of enjoying their jobs. We asked five times for a diet coke during lunch once and walked out not wanting to oder food. The maids were the most polite and friendly staff we encountered. No provisions for people requiring a late checkout (after midday) flying home on night flights.

We highly recommend this hotel. We had a beautiful four poster steel bed with adjoining sofa room overlooking the golf resort. The complimentary buffet breakfast was excellent.

Top Local Tips for Marbella

Nikki Beach Club You must experience Nikki Beach. Double beds on the beach, lovely restaurant and music.

Dining ,promenading in Puerto Banus Dont go out until at least 10.30pm! The rich and famous dont set foot out until at least 10.30 for evening meals! ... Puerto Banus isnt for drunken youths/girls /stagpaerties, its very swish and a place to be seen in your designer gear!... Spanish families out and about with their children until 1am , restaurants, nice bars and shops open til very late. Puerto Banus is fab.

taxi route taxis dont take moterway from airport because of toll they take the long road.
