Top Local Tips for Malaga

Shoes Shoes are cool, varied and cheap and the stores are everywhere!!

Travelling from the airport to Malaga Just outside of the arrivals area there is a bus stop for the number 19 bus, this takes you to malaga centre in about 20 minutes. You can also get the train and this only takes about 12 minutes. It is a longer walk from arrivals to the train station and you have to pull your cases up steep ramps which some more elderly people may find difficult.

Tapas bars El Pimpi and Pepi y Pepe El Pimpi is worth a visit. Lots of rooms and pictures of famous people, friendly service and raw olives which you get for free. Pepa y Pepe (or similar) is a small tapas bar on the corner of a side street. Off Alameda Principal, which we found by accident. It is full of lively locals and food is very good. You feel like a sardine in a tin, squashed around the high tables but it has great atmosphere and the service is very fast and efficient. It's more intimate and much smaller than El PImpi, but I personally preferred that. It's worth checking them both out and then make up your own mind about them.
