Top Local Tips for Malaga

Airport to Malaga If you are traveling to the centre of Malaga from the airport then use the train. It takes 15 minutes and cost €1.25 (03/08). The bus is very slow. Taxi's would cost €15-20 and would take longer than the train.

You Are In Spain You are not visiting a holiday resort, some spanish is essential. Menus are manly in spanish so take a phrase book.

Is there nightlife in Malaga? Me and my husband were meant to stay in Malaga for 6 nights and left after 2. We cancelled our hotel and moved down the coast. We were looking for some nice pubs with a bit of life in them and walked Malaga back and forward for 2 evening. This is one of the most boring places we have ever been to and I wouldn’t go back if I got a free trip. If you want to shop and visit museums this might be a nice place. But if you are looking for evening entertainment you should go further down the coastline. I have read that Malaga’s nightlife doesn’t start until midnight but who wants to sit in the hotel room until midnight waiting to go out for a few drinks? We bet a group of 7 English lads at our hotel. They had booked a week and were half way into their holiday when we bumped into them. They left Malaga in taxi at night to go to Torremolinos for some evening entertainment.
