Top Local Tips for Calvia

Need a break from drinking? Tired of drinking, then drag yourself up to Soller. Find out your nearest bus stop and take the bus to Palma. At Palma's bus station, walk about 5 minutes (follow the tracks on the street) to the Tren de Soller train station and take this beautiful antique railway up into the mountains. It takes about 1.25 hours to get up to Soller and you can chill for a few hours in this charming, historic Spanish town before heading back. As of March 08, the price for the bus round trip from Magaluf was 5.20 euros and the railway round trip was 14 euros. Check train times and makes sure you allow time to get there; I took a 9:30 am bus with plenty of time to catch the 10:50 train.

over 30's Having progressed from being a young clubber to an old raver, I have found that staying off the club strip and going in to the town or up to the bars at the top of the strip can be much more fun! Highlights are City Lights (for karaoke afficionados), Linekers (for sports events), The Prince William (for afternoon chill outs) and The Green Parrot (fun bar with the crudest DJ you will ever meet - not for the easily offended!)

tips I stayed in magaluf for 2 months on my travels, definatly visit pirates, aqua land,rent a quad, porti p shopping centre just before the port in palma. do not visit katmando it is so overated for the price. Stay away from eastenders fun pub, hotel teix. Do eat at either of the happy houses, natalies in palma nova.And enjoy a pint of t at the scottish bar The Star Bar. hope this helps you enjoy your stay.
