Relaxing sun holiday

The Rocamarina Hotel is great for couples and no children under 16 years are allowd, this is great for a quiet holiday there are two pools with lots of sunbeds the hotel is of a high standard clean cool and spacious. The area has everything you need in very close walking distance, the beach is a small cove and it gets quite crowded but the hotels pools are great. The service is excellent and the staff are really friendly, food is good a wide choice of dishes available. The tennis bar (part of the hotel complex) does great food too and has its own quiet pool where we spend most of our time we have been to Rocamarina twice and are going again soon as its such a short flight (2hours) and the transfer time on arrival is about 45 mins to 1 hour. I dont think you can beat it for a relaxing sun holiday with a bit of luxury!

Top Local Tips for Cala d'Or

beaches When you decide to spend the day at cala mondrago (beach) which is an absolute must, go by bus as the beach is in a nature reserve and it drops you off right on the beach. Cars have to park at the top of the hill, then you have a one and a half mile walk down a steep hill to the beach, worse is the hot slog back up.

Beaches Visit the other beaches, they are lovely

The little trains Be careful - had a lot of fun on them but they do stop quite a long time in the afternoon so please check the times as it can get very hot in the afternoon and unknown to us there seems to be various colours of these trains (I thought a blue and yellow train was the same as a yellow and blue - it is not so always ask) they are a great cheap way of getting around - but being British we are used to queuing - other nations are not the same believe me - grab a seat and do what they do - scramble. Great fun though
