Madrid Vision Do it - it's great fun and pretty good value although if you want to get off at a stop make sure you ring the bell because even though they say they're going to stop if you get delayed getting down the stairs it pulls off and NOTHING will make them stop again - or at least not on my bus. Get there early too - there were hardly any seats upstairs after 11am.

would not suggest, go to barcelona instead sites were marginal and nothing special. Though Madrid had some of the most courteous people of any place I have visited, I did not feel safe at any time while in Madrid. Seems like Madrid has a crime issues. The whole trip was a wash. Hotel seemed like a money suck with false impressions of 4 star hotel, and anywhere you went you were a walking wallet. The whole feel of crime goes from having to have a passport anytime you use a credit card, to me having security stand within 5 feet of me when I was browsing a store. Though some individualswent far out of thier way to accomadate a visitor, the overall experience was not worthy of a second thought of a second visit.

Make use of the tube Make use of the tube service, its clean, convienient, regular trains and cheap, only 1 Euro per trip.
