Save Money--Go to the Supermarket Restaurants in Spain are very expensive, given the exchange rate of the Euro to the Dollar. Surprisingly, however, supermarkets are cheaper than in the U.S. So skip having lunch in a restaurant, and head to the local supermarket--like the terrific supermarket in the lower level of El Corte Ingles--to pick up fresh bread, cheese, sausage, snacks, beverages, wine, etc. You'll eat well, and save a small fortune!

Swimming pools at Lago There's a complex of pools out in the casa de campo area right next to Lago metro station. There's lots of sun-bathing areas and three pools. It's really nice if the weather's hot and you want to get out of the city - lots of gorgeous bodies to look at too!
