Very well located close to train station and bus stop infront of the entrance. Reasonable restaurants and cafeterias within 150 mtrs. Very poor communicating skills with guests. Crowded check-in..and hence inefficient service.

Top Local Tips for Madrid

Bars and Cafes Find somewhere safe to eat. By safe, I mean where you think you won't get sick. The people in Madrid do something I have never seen before in all my travels to Europe. The throw their garbage on the floor in the bars and cafes that line the city center streets like Toledo. There is all kinds of trash visible from the outside, paper napkins, etc. We were told that's how you tell a good place from a bad one. Use reverse psychology - the more trash, the better the place is because many people have been there throwing their garbage on the floor. I found this to be a disgusting habit and refused to eat in these establishments.

Watch out for taxis Taxi's are plentiful and reasonable - BUT - 1.Watch that the meter isn't already reading a substantial amount before you set off - it ought to be zero. There's a €5 surcharge to & from the airport which won't appear on the meter, there's usually a sticker on the window inside which tells you about legitimate surcharges.2.Make absolutely sure the taxi driver has understood and repeated back to you where it is you want to go- point it out on the map so they can't have misunderstood. Keep your map out and have an idea where you are during the journey.
