Dated and old hotel, room was very cramped for a couple with a child. Convenient for trains, that's it.

Top Local Tips for Madrid

Don't eat here!! The Asador de Aranda has several locations in Madrid as well as Barcelona. Our first experience in Tibidabo, Barcelona was excellent so we returned and found it lacking. Last weekend we went for the "tie-breaker" in Madrid. If you want to spend €38.50 for a plate of bones and some meat, this is the place to go. There is nothing else included, nor even available - no potatoes, no rice no vegetables. The salad is extra (€6). The waiter constantly came out of the service area with a loaf of bread in his bare hands to cut and serve customers. We spent a total of €73 for 2 people for basically nothing but some roast lamb and dessert. There are hundreds of better places in Madrid and Barcelona both pricewise and for service.
