From entering the hotel,our stay was wonderful,the suite was beautiful,restaurants great. The whole holiday was pure luxury.

Top Local Tips for Playa Blanca

Playa Blanca We have been going to Lanzarote for many years and have not usually stopped in Playa Blanca, however because we wanted to stop at the Yaiza this year we did go to Playa Blanca and it was much warmer than other parts of the island and also much less windy.

Warning about shopping on the Island Use cash as much as possible when shopping on the island, or any of the Canaries. We have heard horror stories from our travel agent about shops employees stealing money from peoples credit cards. One family's credit card was used to buy four tickets to India..ouch. It seems like it is the employees who are rotten, not the shop owners. We were also warned against buying any of the electrical items from any of the shops (dvd's, camcorders, cameras..etc) It seems that there are a lot of fake stuff out there and people have had problem getting their money back for items that did not work once they got home with them...just not worth it in my opinion.

Great restauarant.. Try Aromas in Playa Blanca. The Sea bass is wonderful. The Valdubon Roble 2004 is also a great little wine - well worth a try.
