Top Local Tips for Haro
Mount Hope Cemetery Many Toronto visitors with an interest in historical gravestones - myself included - might be interested in visiting Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery, which is the resting place of several notables in Canadian history, and contains the famous "Weeping Angel" headstone. According to both Wikipedia and the Yahoo! search engine, Mount Hope is located at 305 Erskine Road. NO IT ISN'T!!!!! MOUNT PLEASANT Cemetery, an entirely different cemetery, is at this location!!! The entrance to Mount Hope is near the intersection of Mount Pleasant Road and Broadway; Mount Pleasant Road can be accessed via bus from Eglington Station. By the way, the cemetery is well-recommended for history buffs - I visited on my trip last month!
Good shopping areas There is a couple of major shopping areas outside downtown Toronto. There is a Square One mall in Mississauga, west of Toronto. It has a variety of stores near the mall such as a Chapters book store and an activity center near the Sportchek sporting goods store. In another area of Mississauga, I found a good sporting goods store on Dundas Street called National Sports Centre, which has some nice clothing and all the hockey gear you could ask for. The sales prices are good on top of that. If you are into brand name apparel, this store will have it
