Top Local Tips for Granada

Not just about the alhambra We were in Granada for about 3 days. However, we only spend one of these in the Alhambra (which was lovely and great value). I just wanted to say, don't ignore some of the other sites that aren't moorish in nature, there's some other fantastic buildings with some quite amazing interiors that you really aren't quite prepared for. E.g. the monastery and convent. The cathedral was probably the biggest disappointment, although we had just come from Seville, Cordoba and recently St Pauls in London so it had a lot to live up to! Also, we just enjoyed sitting out in the sunshine with a cup of coffee so chill out as well!

Dull Granada! After the Alhambra, there is not a lot to recommend the place. Have a drink on the terrace of the Alhambra Palace on the Alhambra Hill. Old Moorish quarter is quite interesting.

Alhambra and the abbey Definitely make the effort to get into Alhambra, it's worth it. Enjoy the walk up to the abbey, it's a long hilly one but there is so much to see along the way.
