Timing the Alhambra Afternoon tickets run up to 2000 and it is possible to see all of the main parts of the Alhambra/Generalife in about three hours. Going late in the day in summer softens the heat and gets you longer shadows for the photographs.
Seeing the Alhambra Walk up through the Albaicin (old town) to the mirador (view point) when the sun is going down - the view of The Alhambra with the Sierra Nevada behind and in the light of the setting sun is wonderful.
