Top Local Tips for Granada

The Alhambra We woke up very early and were on line to get tickets at 7! There was already a long line ahead of us at that time. We waited for about 4 hours and were able to get tickets for the afternoon. Therefore, we had to leave and return at 3. It was definitely worth it though. It was probably one of the most amazing and beautiful places I have ever seen. We were unable to get tickets ahead of time on the internet and at the BBVA and Caixa national banks (as stated in guide books). In talking to others we learned that the reason was because the contract with the bank had ended on August 1st. Needless to say, the only way to get tickets at the time(mid August) was to wait on line or to be part of a tour group.

Location The centre for dining in the evening is the area around the cathedral, but Granada is quite small and most hotels are in walking distance of here, so don't worry too much about location since most hotels will be an enjoyable 10-20 minute away through charming streets.
