Top Local Tips for Es Migjorn Gran

Clothing!!! Keep a close eye on your clothing, a top and skirt went mysteriously missing from our room on two differemt occassions!! When bought up with reception, " It could have got mixed up with the washing" Was the response Hmmmmmmmm!!!!!!! It just so happened that our cleaner was about my age and size!

Getting around ? Hire a car if you can drive. Its cheap and the traffic is light and easy on Menorca. if you stay in ANY resort on the island and you don't have a car you might feel trapped. Most resorts are isolated on a beach area and not near to anywhere else. You can get public transport and buses are good and on time ( they always seem to go the long way round ! ) but still very restictive for some journeys. Also many holidays are booked ONLINE nowadays and don't include transfers from and to the hotel / airport. A Taxi from Santo Thomas to Mahon airport will cost you about £20 , so thats £40 just for the each way journey . I hired a car for the week for £80 so its well worth it !
