Best of Chiang Mai Don't come during April / May as too hot !! But then again that has varied over the past years...and even this year noe going into May .....it is not so hot ! april 12th to 15th is Songkran and very hot but also the Water festival season wherein if you don't want to get wet ....DON'T GO OUT....It is a major water splashing event and nobody but nobody is spared....Lovely city and very warm friendly with lots of great restaurants,good sightseeing and fun things to do ......A breather compared to Bangkok !! No beaches but freat mountains and places to go to and exciting nature activities
