When we chose the Virrey II because of its location (El Burgo de Osma is near three castles, one of which is the largest in Western Europe), we did not anticipate the beauty and diversity of the location as well as the incredible warmth and hospitality and culinary talents of its owner. Our one night stay at Virrey II was probably the highlight of our trip to Spain (in honor of my husband's mother's 80th birthday.) My mother-in-law, too, was thoroughly delighted with her stay at this enchanting hotel. Its restaurant is deserving of a visit by Michelin! The location is a bit out-ofthe-way,...but, well worth the drive! Our rooms were spacious, beautiful, clean, and comfortable; and they had a marvelous view of the town square. We hope to return here!
