Top Local Tips for Durango

The underground Metro There is a fantastic underground system here, one where disabled access is built in, where amazingly you can take your bicycle! I was a little suprised to find it was OK to do this, but when I saw other "locals" doing the same I felt so much better. You can travel all over the city and to the outlaying areas even the coast quite easily, with access to the Airport as well. I remember there was a mutiple ticket system, where you could buy for many trip in advance, saving your cash.

For an overview ... If you would like to see Bilbao from the surrounding hills, take the Funicular up to Abrantxa
