Firstlty very high tempertures in Salou but very cold atmosphere in hotel.Bar staff so rude would not last long in Ireland.Staff in resturant so rude,food is so cold.Noticed when you gave bar staff a tip they were friendly but when you didnt they were so rude.Hotel 4 star but rooms would only match 2 star in Ireland.

Back from the H10 salauris palace in salou about week now and must recommend it! We stayed for a week and experienced no problems at all. The hotel itself is very clean and well kept and rooms are cleaned every morning by their friendly staff.
We went half board and ate in the hotels buffet nearly every night. They have a brilliant selection of food for eastern europeans( fruit, salads, cold meats ect.) and being irish we found something to eat everytime! The breakfasts were top-class with fresh food brought out every few minutes. The pool was excellent and very clean with lifeguards on duty at all times. While we were staying there, they had a pool party for kids with blow up toys in the pool! The little restaurant by the pool was very good with a wide selections of pizza's nd pasta for everyone.
The entertainment was average for a Spanish hotel but was still enjoyable. Its very close to Portaventura theme park,not even 5 minutes up the road. Its about 100 euro for a family of 4 for a day pass and the aqua park likewise.
The hotel does bus trips tp Barcelona and we chose the one that had a visit to nou camp football stadium, 2 hours free time around Barcelona center and then a trip to the Barcelona magic fountains. I would strongly recommend going on one of these trips! I would definitely go back 2 this resort and hotel and if you have a family of age 3-18 it would be a perfect holiday!

Wouldn't compare with 4 Star hotels in Ireland, ON HALF BOARD, have to pay for every thing including water on Meal table, couldn't get additional ICE after buying drinks, water or alcoholic! Meals of poor quality even though a large selection was on offer. Most Staff appeared as if they didn't want to know you.

Had a lovely week at this hotel rooms spotless and very comfortable staff pleasant entertainment good, food was OK, room for improvement with bar staff though.

Rooms very clean and comfortable. Food poor. Service of bar staff and restraunt terrible. No smiles, did'nt feel you should be enjoying youselves. Entertainment poor.
Recommend a happy hour, where the staff are
HAPPY...........VERY DISAPPOINTING. Would rather stay at home than go there again.

Top Local Tips for Salou

portaventura get the two week pass well worth it and theme park too big to visit in one day. works out cheaper in the end.

don't be fleeced Before leaving UK i bought tickets for FC Barca match from reputable ticket sales place - would have been better buying in resort (salou) so could secure transport even if it meant getting marginally worse seat. The timing of the matches on the sunday makes catching the train back pretty tight, we had to leave 15 minuts before full time and missed only goal! also I think best route would have been to buy tickets at the ground at least then you know where you'd be sitting. we bough cat 1 tickets but still ended up in the gods over100 euro for a ticket with a face value of 84!

Book Online Its €39 a day to go here, pay £40 online instead and get a weekly ticket! This a brill theme park and is great for all ages. Loads of rides from the big thrill rides to the kiddie roundabouts. Saturday night at 1145 their is a brilliant water and firework show; We went 4 times in the week on the free train from caribe park; We had a 3 year old but we could take turns on the big rides while the little one went on the kiddie rides; The water park you have to pay seperate (€20 each) but the 0-3 year olds have free entry to both parks.
