Just returned from the Delfin Park Hotel - it was my first time at this hotel, but certainly not my last. Been to several hotels in salou over the, but none as friendly or cleaner as the Delfin. I would say the food was basic, but nice. The night entertainment was rubbish though. But with salou being so lively, there's plenty to do.
Exellent hotel

Just returned from Delfin park hotel great location great hotel staff very friendly. Stayed with my husband and 2 daughters aged 16 and 13. They had a ball.3 swimming pools well maintained with lifeguard on hand every day until 7 in evening. Food was great from breakfast until evening meal a varied choice of meals. Something for everyone. You would always find something you like to eat. No complaints about the rooms they were above average for sleeping in and getting a shower. Maid service every day making beds and changing towels. Top class hotel would go back again. Highly recommend it without a doubt. Brilliant place to stay. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!!
just keeps getting better

Absolutely Stunning Hotel, I went out to Salou having been several years in a row. This is the first time that I had stayed at the Delfin park, On arrival I was in a state of shock at how stunning the hotel was. After arriving inside the hotel The staff were absolutely marvellous, really friendly and spoke very good english. We became very friendly with the staff and the manager. They were very helpful. The bar staff were very attentive and lovely aswell. The hotel is just a short walk from all the local bars, restaurants and amenities. There is a supermarket and several bars at the entrance to the hotel. I found as we were three young ladies staying at this hotel it was a bit more upmarket. Although they have a little play area and a kids pool, I thought we were kind of looked down upon by other residence but we were never rowdy and always pleasant. The hotel had a good mixture of nationality guests staying at it aswell. The hotel is handy for those in wheelchairs aswell as there are access ramps and lifts to take u to all aspects of the hotel, especially as the dining room is on the first floor. The pool is very stunning with its waterfall feature aswell. There are internet terminals so you can keep in contact with everyone back home aswell. They have daily entertainment at the hotel aswell. I watched an aerobics/dancersize class whilst i was staying at the hotel. It looked like a lot of fun but i was too lazy to join in! The food in the hotel is rather european so Please do not be fazed if the food tastes a little different. I never expected british food but because i wasnt used to it, it sometimes upset my belly. of course you have to be aware of that. the service within the restaurant is top notch. the staff within this hotel are really top class and work to the highest standards. I couldnt fault anything about the staff at all. The maid service was spectacular, We had very friendly maids whom came to our room every morning, albeit a tad early in the morning but if you were up for breakfast it wasnt a problem. There are set dining times within the hotel aswell. At breakfast you are free to sit wherever you felt like, at night you were given an allocated time to go for dinner (which you could speak to reception to change if you didnt like-fortunately for ourselves we wanted the earlier one and got the earlier one) and then you were to sit at a set table. Overall I would recommend this hotel to adults with teenagers, More mature couples or Singles. I loved the hotel and the staff were excellent with us but I think because we were younger than everyone else at the hotel We were kind of looked down on.

My wife and I returned home today after two weeks holiday in the Delfin Park and had a really good time. The hotel was very clean with pleasant and friendly cleaning staff. Reception staff were very helpful and the bar staff were efficient and very entertaining, especially the young Dominican Republic barman who loved to serve you with your drink and a bit of Salsa dancing thrown in.The entertainment in the evenings was very good with lots of dancing and shows which were excellent. The drinks prices were cheaper than some of the bars outside and just as strong. There were two sittings for dinner with allocated tables but you could sit at any table for breakfast. A good choice in the buffets at both meals. Maybe a stricter code of dress could be introduced for dinner as a lot of the men were appearing in vest type t shirts and shorts which wasn't very nice. The pools were well kept and some of the entertainment was held round the pool in the evenings. We had a great time and would recommend this hotel which is very central and also Salou is a lovely town with a beautiful promenade to walk along. Although we are retired and not into white knuckle rides we thoroughly enjoyed our day at Port Aventura where there were lots to see and lovely laid out. A trip to Barcelona is worth doing as well.

Clean room, maid service everyday, although the walls were paper thin.
Hotel is well situated with 3 lovely swimming pools and a waterfall; although they should have been cleaned out more regularly (we found a broken glass in kid's pool)
Two sittings for evening meal, I was shown to a table and had to share with another couple. Food was awful, it was that bad I was ill and ended up going over the road to the English pub which served lovely food.
Bar staff were friendly enough, although a bottle of water cost 1.30 euros and for the same bottle of water only 45 euros at the supermarket over the road.
Good Hotel

Hotel is in excellent position 5 minutes to beach and shops, bars etc.Found staff friendly enough especialy women who worked in restaurant.Rooms cleaned every day shame about the food which was rubbish, absolutely nothing for children,we had to take them to pub across the road where the food was great. The pools were never cleaned out in the 2 weeks we were there but not a problem for us as the beach was so close.Evening entertainment was good and started early enough. All in all, i would stop at this hotel again, but on a self catering basis
Great hotel...

This was one of the best hotels I have ever been to, the staff were pleasant, friendly and helpfull..the room was above expected standard, with great views. The bathroom was very spacious..the maid service was excellent, came every day with fresh towels and toilet rolls... The pool area was very clean and tidy, not much litter about, and lifeguards there everyday.. The bar was great, lots of entertainment, for all the family.. All in all a fantastic holiday and would definatley go again..
Shame about the staff

The hotel was amazing, far better than expected, the pool was lovely, as were the rooms and hotel itself.
One thing let this place down and thats the rude and arrogant staff. All in all worth going if you can ignore rude people!

Top Local Tips for Salou

Trips make the mnost of the bus or the train service, visit Barcelona or visit the old monistery way at the top of the Mountain Montserrat. You can get a train from Barcelona to go to Madrid, or hire a car and explore the area.

main tip, visit it. Do come here, stay just outside the centre and visit it for food and nightlife.

food and drink if you do eat outside the hotel try the fox and hound just across from the hotel. Also try danny boy's for food. If its just a drink the butler is good, the hole in the wall was good and also cheap and the one at the top of the strip. cocktails are by one and get one free between 6 and 9 every night and the chip van is just further down on the same side. great cone of chips and also try the churros mmm!!
