We have resently visted the lovely hotel golden playa park witch is sisuated in the heart of Salou. We enjoyed staying at the hotel especially the lovely views! The pool was great, always warm! There was a few rain days but we were so caught up in the onsite entertainment and the bars that we barly noticed and it wasnt long before the sun was out again! We also enjoyed the short 5minute walk to the beach. However my friend is weelchair bound and she found it difficult leaving the hotel as they are various hills surrounding the hotel so for pushchairs and wheel chairs I would advice not to choose this hotel.
I hope we have enspired people to come and see for themsleves the pleasent hotel. Me and my friends had so much fun we are contemplating going there next year!

Best holiday i have ever had!! The staff are really great especially Chris, Jacqueline, and Paula (the restaurant manager). Try to speak a little spanish and it really goes a long way. Rooms are excellent, extemely clean. Food is fantastic and location is that of a quiet one, I can't wait to go again next june!

I first visited this hotel in 2000 and on arriving I was amazed at the cleanliness of the rooms and how wonderful all the staff are. Food is different every night it suits all tastes. Entertainment for the kids is great keeping them amused for hours giving parents a much needed break. Not to noisy at night time as all the clubs and discos are down in the town. I have taken my holiday there ever since and so have several members of my family even my 75 year old Father.

Top Local Tips for Salou

Over priced, and inaccessable! We went to Port Aventura on the Saturday, having purchased tickets from our rep. We were told to go to guest services, in which we had to stand in a queue for over 45 minutes, in the direct sun, only to be told we still had to go back to the ticket desk, which took another 45 - 60 minutes! We were very annoyed. Whenever we finally got in we got to go 5 rides, as the queues were up to 2 hours long! My tip would be to avoid on a Saturday, and peak season, as it is far from value for money. U can get an express tickets for an extra 39 euro's a head, so people are getting priority treatment (u still have to queue with all the other express holders) above those who have paid got money to enter the park. I thought it was a bit of a rip off. However we may return in September / October, out of season, to give the park a fair chance. Also the water park, after paying in, there was a charge on rubber rings and sun loungers! Not impressed!

Danny Boy's The best food by far, small menu but best food. Stay away from Gabbers restaurant food poor but garlic bread disgusting.
