Well worth the money

We are a young family that spent a week at the Avenida and we were very happy with all aspects of our holiday the apartments were big, clean, the staff were brilliant. The food at the apartments was the best food we ever had on our holiday and the cheapest 35 euros for 2 adults and one child and you can eat as much as you want. The resort it self we found expensive for food and drink. We would highly recommend a trip to Barcelona. We took the bus 19.30 euros each and a two hour bus ride was worth it, but you could do with a few days there. Port Aventura is another must, only five mins on the bus. All in all, we paid £485.00 for a family of three for our holiday and I would be happy to pay double that. We highly recommend the Avenida Park and would not hesitate booking again.

We had the most enjoyable family holiday at Golden Avenida. This is a great hotel, great location, very clean, and good food. What made our holiday was the entertainers-Dan, David, Sam and Chris-what can I say. They are the best entertainers we have ever had in a hotel, absolutely no need to leave the hotel if you didn't want to. We have already booked for next year and the 1 thing we hope doesn't change are these 4!! Port aventura is gr 8 as well, however better going at night rather than through the day to avoid the long ques. I would give our holiday an overall 10 out of 10.

Absolutly brill, what more can I say. Entertainment,staff,rooms,pool was all fantastic. The Thomson was absolutly great. Will definitely be taking my children back!

What can u say - probably the best holiday we have been on. Accomomadation, excellent food superb going back June this year, loved it.

Holiday was amazing. Would deffo go back.
I have to mention Sam David and Dan, they were the most amazing people ever with sam and dan dancing everywhere and David doing most of tha activitys the holiday came alive.
I felt very welcome.
Didn't realy get to know the reps, only saw them when they mets us at tha airport and took us back to the airport wich was quite disapointing.
If a manager from thompson reads this you should put David on your team instead of just have him work at the hotel and you should have Sam And Dan definatly promoted and have them as perminant staff. They are what made my holiday.
The kids always wanted to go to kids club but unfortunatly i didnt get to find out wat went on in there exceot for what the kids told me but it must have been good because there quite fussy where thay are yet they kept an eye on the time to see when it was open.
Our family even got let into a secret of who was in the thompson the dog uniform but I'm keeping hush hush.
All the bar staf were very friendly except jesus. he didnt realy chat much he was more botherd about work than making people feel welcome.you would still be eating and he would take your plate.very rude!
Over all had a fab time and would recomend portaventura, aquapolis and the red lion pub to any families going there.
Would deffo go back to the hotel David, Sam and Dan were in even if it was the same one every year...please give them a huge thanks for us xx
p.s youve got to watch dan while playing games because he tends to cheat but call you tha cheater (in a fun way of course)

The Avenida was brill all the entertainers were great especially Sam and David who deserve more money! David's bingo had us all entertained it was excellent would definitely go again miss water polo the most thought!

I think they have everything we need. David is great entertainer, reps were awesome, was great fun on the mini disco at night and activities at day, the food was quality and the rooms were always clean. So top marks from me.

The entertainments team was great also the bar staff were the best , the only downfall was the food in the restaurant hardly any english food same menu everyday got quite bored at end of 2 weeks.Super splash was highlight also great location close to clubs, beach , shops , the staff were great except Ingrid on reception was rude all the time. Great view from our room.

Portaventura Theme Park Buy your tickets for the theme park , before you go out to Salou. We bought a seven day pass, and it saved us a fortune, even if you dont use it every day for seven days.
portaventura buy the tickets before you go on an internet special deal i.e 7 days for the price of 2. we didn't and ended up paying that internet price just for one day. it's very hard to come by cheap tickets for the park once you are there.

There was me, my grandparents and two cousins and each and every one of us loved it. The entertainment was out of this world. David was fantastic - the activities that were organised were fantastic - there were a variety of activities to keep everyone entertained. Some for the adults some for the kids. Everybody had an amazing holiday and I would be honoured to visit again in the near future. As I said David was fantastic, Kelly & Sarah were very good too.. Me and my cousin loved the bingo. As for the food, it was fantastic.. Great variety and great quick service. The only downfall was the bar staff as my granddad thought they were a bit slow at serving and this could be improved. The reception is fantastic and very helpful as was everything else. Overall a great holiday and a great destination to go. I would love to return in the future as I am sure I will.
