The hotel was superb and within very easy walking distance of the beach, resort center, taxis and train station which takes you to Barcelona. The hotel was very clean, well kept and the staff were very pleasant and provided a fantastic service. The pool was lovely and the food was great(lots of choice), unfortunately there was no air conditioning so might be a problem in the hotter months.

Malgrat is a clean family/pushchair friendly resort along the Costa Brava coast line. The hotel Sorra D'or is situated right next door to the train station, which can take you into Barcelona for the day which was lovely, and the trains are cheap! There are two halves to Malgrat, when you come out of the hotel left is all touristy type shops, right is more local shops which were more interesting. Midweek there is a local market. Hotel was basic, clean, and right next to the beach via an underpass (some steps) but the food was cold at both breakfast and dinner and eating out is not particularly cheap. Hotel swimming pool a waste of time but the beach was so close it was not a problem.
